  • Daily:

    1. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater should be applied.

    2. Avoid sun exposure to treated areas.

For the first 24 hours post-treatment (or until redness subsides):

    1. Keep the tattoo covered with the dressing applied in clinic. Avoid getting the area wet.

    2. After 24 hours, remove the dressing and check for any excessive redness, swelling, or blisters. If present, take a photo and contact your treatment provider. Apply Solugel and a fresh dressing with clean hands.

    3. Avoid exercise and activities that increase perspiration and body temperature.

    4. Avoid extremely hot showers and baths.

    5. Elevate the area to reduce inflammation.

    Up to 7 days post-treatment:

    1. Keep the tattoo covered with Solugel and a clean dressing daily if there are any blisters or scabbing present or if environmental factors are of concern (e.g., friction from clothing, dust, dirt, sweat, etc.).

    2. If the tattoo is left uncovered, apply Solugel 2–3 times a day, or as required. Avoid sun exposure.

If working outdoors where sun exposure is a concern, wear clothing to cover the area for added protection from sun exposure.

Avoid the use of scented lotions or soap.

Avoid the use of pools, spas, and saunas.

    Up to 2 weeks post-treatment:

    1. If there are any blisters or scabbing still present, or if friction is causing sensitivity, keep the tattoo covered with Solugel and a dressing and reapply daily.

    2. If the tattoo is left uncovered, continue to use Solugel 2–3 times daily as required. Continue to use Solugel daily throughout your treatment process to optimise skin health.

    3. Avoid exfoliating the area; this includes shaving, scrubbing, or the use of mitts.

    4. Avoid scratching, picking, or rubbing the area. Avoid friction, such as clothing rubbing on the area.

    * IMPORTANT *

Contact your treatment provider if you notice any blisters, crusts, or open areas. Allow these to heal spontaneously. If healing is delayed, a thin coating of antibiotic ointment may be advised.

    1. Do not pick at these areas. Picking may result in infection or scarring.

    2. Your treatment provider will advise you when to schedule your next appointment, as different body areas require different treatment intervals. It is essential to adhere to this regime for the best results. Maintenance treatments will be required and will be ongoing.

      • Mild redness or pinkness

      • Slight dryness or flakiness

  • Thank you for choosing Artevo Aesthetics for your smile enhancement. Following your whitening treatment, it’s important to protect your enamel and maintain your results. Please follow these simple aftercare steps for the best outcome.

    Immediately After Treatment

    • Your teeth may be more sensitive to temperature or pressure for 24–48 hours — this is normal and temporary.

    • Avoid hot or cold food and drinks during this period.

    • Refrain from smoking or using coloured oral products (e.g., coloured mouthwash, lipstick that could transfer).

    For the First 48 Hours

Your enamel is more porous and can easily absorb stains, so we recommend the “White Diet”:

    • Stick to light-coloured or white foods (e.g., chicken, fish, rice, pasta, milk, yoghurt, bananas, cauliflower, potatoes).

    • Avoid foods and drinks that may cause staining — coffee, tea, red wine, coloured sauces, soft drinks, berries, or beetroot.

    • Drink water regularly and rinse after meals.

    • Brush gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a non-whitening, sensitive toothpaste.

    Ongoing Care

    • Continue to brush and floss regularly to maintain brightness.

    • Limit highly pigmented foods and drinks to prolong results.

    • Use touch-up whitening products only as advised by your clinician.

    • Schedule regular professional cleanings and whitening maintenance sessions for optimal results.

If sensitivity persists beyond a few days or you experience discomfort, please contact our team for advice.

    • Avoid touching, scratching, or washing the scalp for at least 6 hours post-treatment.

    • Refrain from applying any products (including sprays, oils, or shampoos) until advised by your clinician.

    For the First 24–48 Hours

    • Avoid heat exposure such as saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers.

    • Do not engage in heavy exercise or activities that cause excessive sweating.

    • Avoid alcohol and smoking, as these can reduce circulation and slow healing.

    • Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid pressure on the treated area.

    • You may gently cleanse your scalp using a mild, sulfate-free shampoo.

    • Resume normal hair care and styling once any irritation has resolved.

If you notice any persistent discomfort, swelling, or unusual changes to your scalp, contact our team for review.
